Warm Mix Asphalts that are produced and laid at reduced temperatures from 100 to 120 °C are ready-for-use within a shorter period of time.

Sections can be opened to traffic at an earlier stage. Additionally asphalt paving at reduced temperatures releases less emissions. Based on a rough estimate a 10 degree temperature decrease leads to a 50% emission reduction.
